Investing in the skills that fuel innovation is key to ensuring strong employment prospects for Canadian workers and powering economic growth for our country. Doing so is essential for our ability to understand current and future occupational needs of Canadian employers, and to help shape meaningful employment prospects for Canadians.
The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is currently undertaking a 3-year study seeking to identify the economic and labour impacts resultant from the increasing permeation of technology across all sectors of the economy.
A central component of this initiative, ICTC has launched the first of three labour market surveys that will highlight and expand on the recruitment, employment and skill needs of Canadian employers. Particularly, the survey will address the demand for digital occupations across the Canadian ecosystem as technology increasingly permeates all sectors of the economy. Specifically, it will seek to identify key digital occupations and their corresponding skill needs until 2023, under seven (7) high-growth industries: ICT, clean tech, clean resources, agri-foods, health/biotech, digital industries, and advanced manufacturing.

The survey will take approximately 15 – 20 minutes to complete, and is best completed by a senior representative of your organization that is familiar with talent and hiring needs.
Survey responses will remain anonymous and confidential. Individual identifiers will be removed and results will be displayed in aggregate only.
