The next intake of the IWES program begins Monday, January 30th and the in-class component of the program proceeds through to February 17th. During this first component of the program, internationally educated professionals (IEPs) with an ICT background experience a jam packed schedule from employment readiness workshops on resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies to networking, LinkedIn, and personal branding. With a two-day course about Canadian Workplace Cultural Intelligence to help these newcomers ease into the Canadian workplace with all the soft skills required to position them favourably to employers looking to fill their ICT needs. SCRUM Fundamentals certification, recruiter visits (on and off site) help inform the IEPs with all they need to know about themselves and the industry.
At the completion of the in-class component these IEPs will be uniquely matched with a professional coach who will work with them for 3 months to continue support in achieving the goals they have set out for themselves whether it be to secure employment, retain a position, or anything else they have in sight for themselves. These coaches are trained professionals who are passionate about working with Canadian newcomers and supporting these IEPs through to the fulfillment they came to Canada to find.
Over 85% of IWES graduates secure employment in their field.
The program is valued at over $4500 but we are able to offer it at a fee of $399 plus tax for a total of $450.87 thanks to funding offered by the government of Ontario and Canada.
