The opportunity is open for ICT newcomers to join the more than 360,700 immigrants employed in ICT jobs in Canada by participating in ICTC’s Bridge Training Program in Toronto, Ontario.
Canada is experiencing a shortage of skilled ICT talent – this reality means that Canada must continue to recognize and welcome immigrant ICT talent to address labour and skills shortages and increase business innovation.

ICTC’s Immigration Initiatives help Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) by providing the essential support needed for newcomers to secure as well as to advance in tech careers in Canada. For the past 5 years, ICTC’s IT Bridge Training Program called IWES has had a success rate of over 85% of graduates landing jobs, commensurate with experience, with an average starting salary of $50,000.
The IWES program offers 3 weeks of full time in-class training in résumé and interview skills, networking and job search techniques, LinkedIn and social media use, Canadian Cultural Communication, recruiter visits plus so much more. If that wasn’t enough, participants also get SCRUM Fundamentals training and certification. This is followed by a 3 month coaching relationship. Participants are matched with a corporate professional who will coach them towards their goals. This coaching relationship will support the IEP in achieving his or her goals – be it obtaining a job, retaining a job or anything else that is important to them.
The IWES Program fee is $399.00 plus HST (a $4,500 value). Next Intake starts: October 17, 2016
Space is limited!!! More than 50% of the last intake have been interviewing with employers in the first two weeks after completing the in-class portion and 4 are already employed.
While all this is going on, ICTC forwards résumés and opens networks on behalf of the participants– all to connect graduates with opportunities for employment.
